Biography of Robin Porteous
Robin Porteous graduated with honours from Edmonton's Concordia University College of Alberta. She majored in Canadian Studies and minored in Political Science. Since graduating, Robin has been actively involved with grass-root politics. Robin joined the Alberta Social Credit Party and has been actively helping the party ever since, including:
- Secretary for the Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview SOCRED Constituency Association
- Vice President - Membership - and Secretary for the SOCRED Provincial Board
- Helped to set up 'Election Campaign School' for current candidates in this election
Robin has two school age children and helps to support her Mother so she has REAL experience with the issues our children, the working class and our senior populations face. She is an Administrative Assistant for a medium sized construction/ manufacturing company; in her words "it's a one person office so I do a little bit of everything".
Robin would be honoured to represent you - the CITIZEN - in the Legislature of this great province. She will work hard for you and always respect that you - the constituent - are her boss. Robin got involved because she is deeply passionate about democracy and wants to see Canadian Democracy returned to the people of this province and country.
It's time for RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE people who "walk the talk" to be elected as representatives rather than those who just "talk the talk".
