Biography of Jim Wright
Everyday, Jim's work and family life has put him in contact with many people in Calgary North Hill. Jim and his wife run a business on Edmonton Trail. His two kids attend Collingwood School. He's in tune with what's going on and knows the concerns of North Hill residents. He shares those concerns, too, because of his active involvement in the area.
Jim Wright is well prepared to deal with the policies and complexities facing Alberta today. A graduate of the University of Alberta, he went on to complete an International MBA at the University of the Americas. Jim also concluded studies in public policy making and analysis at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Calgary North Hill needs an MLA who is involved in the community and can capably bring North Hill issues to the legislature someone who can navigate government bureaucracy to solve problems for people. Sometimes it's about getting a senior citizen on the right track for government programs to make living easier. Sometimes it's about straightening out a problem with Student Finance Board for a post-secondary student. It's all about people.
Jim Wright's been there and understands how the system works. He has worked in the Alberta Legislature as an executive assistant to a cabinet minister during Peter Lougheed's tenure. Jim's dealt with the kinds of problems and concerns people have with their provincial government. He gets results.
